Nihongo Machine User Guide
Part 5: Test Mode Preferences When you take a test using the Nihongo Machine, a test is created that contains 10 questions based on the currently open word list. The tests are multiple choice, you can choose the type of question that is asked and the type of answer that is given by selecting the appropriate fields. For example, if you want to take a test where the question is a Kanji and the type of answer is the English meaning of that Kanji then, select 'Kanji' in the Question Type and 'English' in the Answer Type.
Title Bar - The name of the program, the name of the company, and the program name in Hiragana. Flash Card Mode / Test Mode Selector Buttons - There are 2 main sections in the Nihongo Machine; the Flash Card section and the Test section. Click on these buttons to switch between the 2 sections. Question Type Preferences - Click on a button to choose the type of question that is asked in the test. Answer Type Preferences - Click on a button to choose the type of answer that is provided in the test. Number Of Answers Selector - This setting allows you to decide how many choices you want to have displayed in the test answer field. In a multiple choice test, the fewer the choices the easier the test. Show / Hide Timer Toggle - During the test the amount of time you spend on each question will be measured. You can choose whether or not to have the timer displayed during the test. Word List Title - The name of the currently open word list. Default Settings Button - Click on this button to have the default settings applied to this screen. OK Button - Click on this button to save your settings and return to the Test screen. |
